This week we have Eric Edmeades and David JP Philips giving advice on how to speak publicly, SAAS product pitching, coffee composting from Rave, NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… and the Murderbot Diaries in our selection, all handpicked by Csaba Berenyi.
Speaking in Front of People
I picked two videos in this topic. Both are about speaking in front of people but I find their advice is transferrable to video calls, company presentations or even everyday situations.
This one is a TEDxZagreb talk by David JP Phillips about communication and public speaking techniques. It pays to be mindful of your body language, tone, pacing and content. I find this very entertaining and a great source of information.
Pitching Your SAAS Product
SeedLegals organise a ton of online events from which you can learn a great deal. This one is about six start-ups pitching their B2C SaaS (Business to customer service) products to investors. It’s worth listening in and learning from their presentations. If you like this sort of thing. Before joining the WM ScaleUp Programme I had very little exposure to this world. Now running a company that is involved in making products and scaling this will be me soon.
Compost Your Used Coffee
I order from Rave from time to time. I really like the taste profile of their Italian and Mocha-Java blends. I also lilke their efforts to be more sustainable and the free advice they provide. This week they send out some information about composting used coffee grounds.
NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139…
It is an updated version of NieR Replicant, previously only released in Japan.
Nier Automata was one of the most surprising games for me. When I started playing it I didn’t like it. Then I finished it and it was OK. And then… it turns out you needed to finish it multiple times. And each playthrough was different. I could even go as far as stating the game’s design is genius. It became one of the best games I’ve ever played.
I am looking forward to experiencing the prequel to it.
Books: Murderbot Diaries
Started something new earlier in the week. It’s a 5 novella series from Martha Wells called Murderbot Diaries… won Hugo, Nebula and a few other awards which is always a good sign… Ask me how they were in a while. They have 3.9-4.5 rating on Good Reads.

This is a post in the Last Week in 5 Links series. We share a lot of interesting videos, articles and other types of content in our internal chat. We thought some of the info we come across could come in handy for others too. So each week we post five of the links we shared between ourselves in the previously selected by one of our team.
If you have any comments, ideas or personal experiences, feel free to share with us. We are curious to hear new ideas, solutions, and perspectives regarding the above. Don’t forget to follow us on our social media!
