Last Week in 5 Links #97

by | Feb 1, 2022 | FiveLinks

This week in our selection we have a batmobile, an expert’s U-turn, the Leviathan Falls, Unity acquires Ziva Dynamics and carbon emission, all handpicked by Csaba Berenyi.

Real Life Batmobile

This is the sort of thing that everyone wants after watching a Batman film. I wonder if it has an electric version?

How to U-turn

This video shows a person performing a u-turn where it should not be possible. Love it!

Leviathan Falls

Finished reading the last book of the Expanse and I wasn’t disappointed. Combined with the recently finished series it’s really good quality entertainment. Also, this series has some of the coolest characters ever (Bobby, Drummer, Avasarala, …).

Unity Acquires Ziva Dynamics

I have to admit I didn’t know Ziva Dynamics even existed before the news broke. They do muscle simulation. This move is definitely a step in providing a more comprehensive creative package for creators. Can’t wait to see what people will come up with when they have access to it. In the meantime have a look at this video. Pretty impressive.

Tracking the World’s Carbon Emissions

If I gave you the task of trying to measure the actual emission of each country… how would you do it? For most it seems the solution is to ask companies how much they emit. This TED talk presents an alternative using satellites and AI. Very interesting to watch.

This is a post in the Last Week in 5 Links series. We share a lot of interesting videos, articles and other types of content in our internal chat. We thought some of the info we come across could come in handy for others too. So each week we post five of the links we shared between ourselves in the previously selected by one of our team.

If you have any comments, ideas or personal experiences, feel free to share with us. We are curious to hear new ideas, solutions, and perspectives regarding the above. Don’t forget to follow us on our social media!
