Do you remember Robert Kelly?
Back in April, he took part in a BBC interview when his toddlers walked into the room. The awkward way he handled the situation made him famous. That was my reality while under various lockdowns.
I call myself a responsible parent and I looked into many options keeping my son occupied during my working hours. TV and YouTube, yes, they helped a lot, but the withdrawal effect was horrible. Every time.
I tried to find apps that could provide meaningful entertainment for my child but I was left disappointed. Many of the apps seem poorly designed and I’ve found some that displayed zombie ads or worse for children.
It seemed I wasn’t the only one having this problem. We started to think of ways we could help parents and children in this situation. And the idea of Flatstone Grove was born.
We created a child-safe app that provides a safe digital environment on phones, tablets and computers. In it we tell great stories, provide fun games and make sure children are not revved up, have ads to watch or offered in-app purchases.

I will tell you more in the new year.
Wishing you Merry Christmas,
Robert
