Link on the UI using TextMesh Pro in Unity
I had a simple-looking task: show text on the UI with a link to open a web page in Unity. It doesn’t sound complicated, and I thought it would be an easy assignment as a task like this is very common in HTML or anywhere else.

Unity Addressables CRC error Fix
Out of the blue, when starting Flatstone Grove on Android, the Addressables system started throwing CRC errors. We knew we had something to fix.
5 Links Anniversary
We launched our 5 links in November 2019 and since then, we have posted it 93 times. The original idea came from that we are sharing a vast amount of interesting news on our Slack channels, which generates conversations within the team.
Sponge Hammer Annual Game Jam 2021
On this Monday & Tuesday, we held our annual Sponge Hammer game jam.
The setup and the rules were very similar to last year’s one, but at this time, we had more people in each group. Csaba announced the teams on Sunday (the day before the event started), but we had to wait until Monday morning to discover the theme of the jam.
Meet the Team: Miklos Hajma, Senior Programmer
Miki is one of our most experienced senior programmers. He has been working on games since the late 90s, and he started his career as an artist. Dancing is in a special place in his heart, and in his free time, he likes to play video games.
Meet the Team: Rudolf Major, Lead Programmer
Rudolf has more than twenty years of programming experience in various fields. He inspires the team and helps them to achieve their goals.
Meet the Team: Laszlo Nemet, Senior Programmer
Laszlo has been in game development for over twenty years now. His knowledge and experience are one of the most extensive within Sponge Hammer, ranging from physics and game engine programming to back-end development. Laszlo spends his free time with his family or tinkering with hardware.
Addressables and locale-specific data
I decided to record my learnings about the Addressables system in Unity. In this post, I’ll talk about packing and downloading locale-specific data. It took me a while to figure this out so someone else may benefit from it.
Five years!
Sponge Hammer is five years old! It feels like last week when I decided to register a company to provide development services much better than anyone else.
